On the Road Again

The CSU Alumni Association is on the road again, reconnecting with graduates near and far.

In September, we visited Detroit, bringing with us President Harlan M. Sands on his first official alumni visit. It’s been a number of years since we were in the Motor City and the enthusiastic response was most gratifying.

Special thanks to alumnus James Deiotte, BBA ’80 and MBA ’84, and his wife Debbie for hosting the reception at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Next up, in November, were Dallas and Houston. Texan alums turned out in large numbers to meet President Sands on his first official visit to the Lone Star state. Once again, engaged Vikings hosted the receptions at the Dallas Country Club and Houstonian Hotel. Thank you, Terry and Ron Unkefer, BBA ’66, and Christine and Jim Mastandrea, BBA ’70.

On January 10, we’ll head south to Charlotte, N.C. If you live or “snow bird” in the area, join us at the Charlotte City Club.

Then we’re off to Naples, Fla. for our always popular CSU2U. This alumni college event, on February 2, showcases faculty members sharing their expertise on a variety of interesting topics. It’s always a sell-out!

In March, we’ll make our annual trip to Arizona to catch spring fever and the Indians in spring training. We’re also planning visits to Columbus, Washington, D.C. and Chicago in the spring.
